Ready Set Grow Speech Therapy
Hello! My name is Olivia Hougland. I am a speech-language pathologist and owner of Ready, Set, Grow-Speech Therapy, LLC. I am 32 years old, married to my wonderful husband Rodney, and I have a 7-year-old chocolate lab named Moto! I have a background as a sign language interpreter in elementary schools, which introduced me to speech-language pathology. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Disorders & Deaf Education with a language component of American Sign Language from Utah State University and a Master of Science in Speech Pathology from Western Illinois University. I have worked with a variety of populations in the last couple of years, but my main passion remains in pediatrics. There is something so special about hearing a child say their first word, produce a sound correctly for the first time, or communicate with their family whether that is verbally, through signs and gestures, or through AAC. I provide evidence-based approaches and engage in parent coaching to help caregivers carry over strategies at home. I aim to not only target goals within the therapy room, but also outside of the therapy room through giving caregivers tips and strategies to use throughout the week.
